- Texas Conference Speakers –
- Keynote Speaker Gary Johnson – Gary Johnson is the former Governor of New Mexico and a long-time advocate of liberty. He has been called a libertarian-republican and recently he formed Our America Initiative to advocate for limited government and more freedom. He has been an outspoken advocate for efficient government, lower taxes, protection of civil liberties, revitalization of the economy and promoting entrepreneurship and privatization.
- Isaac Morehouse, Institute for Humane Studies - Isaac M. Morehouse is educational programs director at the Institute for Humane Studies. Morehouse previously worked at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy where he created and directed Students for a Free Economy.
- James W. Lark III – Dr. Lark is an assistant professor in the Systems Engineering Department and adjunct professor in the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He has served as visiting scholar at the Center for the Study of Public Choice (Virginia Tech) and Earhart Foundation Visiting Fellow at the Center for Research in Government Policy and Business (University of Rochester). Former chairman at the LNC, Dr. Lark has served the cause of liberty extensively throughout his career, coordinating libertarian campus efforts, chairing various libertarian committees, advising campaigns, and more!
- Tom Pauken – A native Texan, Tom Pauken was elected national chairman of the College Republicans during the rise of the anti-Vietnam protest movement. Enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1967, Tom served as a military intelligence officer in Vietnam. Tom served on President Ronald Reagan’s White House staff. Named director of the Action agency by President Reagan, he eliminated the use of federal tax dollars to fund Saul Alinsky-style organizers. A former venture-capital executive, Tom is a small business owner and the author of The Thirty Years War: The Politics of the ‘60s Generation.
