- Peter Leeson – Dr. Leeson currently sits as the BB&T Professor for the Study of Capitalism at George Mason University and will be visiting this fall at the University of Chicago. He is most famous for his book The Invisible Hook: The Hidden Economics of Pirates. He is a rising star in the liberty movement and we are honored to have him join us.
- Jonathan Hoenig - Mr. Hoenig is the Managing Member of the private investment partnership Capitalistpig Asset Management LLC. He is a former floor trader at the Chicago Board of Trad and author of the book, Greed is Good: The Capitalist Pig Guide to Investing.
- John Tsarpalas – Mr. Tsarpalas is the President of the Sam Adams Alliance based in Chicago, IL. Founded in November of 2006, the Sam Adams Alliance is leading a new revolution for liberty by training, inspiring, and empowering people to utilize new media tools (blogging, twitter, wikis) to advance economic freedom and individual liberty.
- Terri McCormick - Elected to the Wisconsin State House in 2000, she self-imposed a term limit and stood by her promise, leaving office in 2006. She ran against the GOP establishment choice for Congress in 2006, losing to him in the primary. While in the legislature, Terri helped expand charter schools in Wisconsin. Since leaving public life, she has worked to reduce health care costs for local governments via her firm, McCormick Dawson.
- Leon Drolet – Mr. Drolet is a former State Representative from Michigan and the current Executive Director of the Michigan Taxpayers Alliance (MTA). The MTA is an alliance of Michigan citizens who believe the state government of Michigan is hurting citizens and our economy by taking too much money from citizens and redistributing it through ever-increasing spending.
We will provide three free meals and and a social event in the evening. To pre-register, email Midwest Regional Director Will Freeland at wfreeland@studentsforliberty.org. Also, remember to RSVP for our Facebook event.
