The Columbia University Libertarians present…
2009 New York Students For Liberty Conference
October 10, 2009
The 2009 New York Students For Liberty Conference is set to be the premier event for students in the area dedicated to liberty! Featuring speakers from the national liberty movement, the conference will serve as a forum for learning from experts in fields ranging from economics to history, meeting libertarian leaders, discussing current issues, and sharing advice on best practices for advancing the cause of liberty on campus.
From 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, you will hear lectures and speeches by top scholars of liberty, participate in engaging liberty panel discussions, and network with both students and leaders at the forefront of advancing liberty. You will be provided with three free meals, a collection of resources for student organizing, academic support and advice, and information on opportunities for internships within liberty. The evening will culminate in a social event organized by the Columbia University Libertarians.
In addition, this year’s conference will be jointly held with the Ivy League Alliance For Liberty. Following up on last year’s inaugural conference in which a founding Constitution was drafted and coordinated campus events were planned, this year’s Ivy League schools will issue position statements and an unveiling of new and creative tactics to advance liberty throughout the school year.
